I am a high schooler at Sunset High School. I completed an internship at the Institute of Computing in Research, and through that internship, I joined the DIPr Lab. Although I have many interests in the sciences, I am also deeply passionate about law and social justice.

I’m Nick Morales, and I’m a PhD Student of Computer Science at Portland State University. Previously I was at Reed College and Oregon State University where I completed my B.S. in Zoology where I was primarily focused on vertebrates, particularly mammals.

I am an Assistant Professor at Portland State University in the Department of Computer Science. I completed my Ph.D. from the Department of Computer Science at University of California, Irvine. I lead the DIPr 🌌 (Database & Internet Privacy) Lab.

I am a Junior in Undergraduate Computer Science at Portland State University in the Department of Computer Science. I am proficient in Java, Python, and C/C++ with a deep interest in SQL as well.

My research interests are developing applications with a strong commitment to incorporating and adhering to privacy policies.

My research interest is to delve into the network protocols used to facilitate the commnication of IoT deivces with each other and with edge and cloud services, specifically to strengthen the security and privacy controls employed in that space.
